paper positions berlin invites international galleries to apply with their most important positions in contemporary and modern art, with a particular focus on works on and with paper. Application is open now until 2 February 2026!
From 30 April - 3 May 2026, the tenth edition of paper positions berlin will take place once again in the impressive main hall of the iconic Berlin-Tempelhof Airport, spanning over 2,500 square metres — held in parallel with the Gallery Weekend in Berlin.
The move into the main hall of Tempelhof Airport marks a significant milestone in the development of paper positions berlin and reflects its growing relevance within the art fair landscape. 65 galleries from 18 countries attracted more than 16,000 visitors at the last edition. The new venue not only allows for a more intense engagement with the material of paper, but also highlights the fair’s distinctive concept: instead of traditional booths, paper positions berlin embraces the idea of a curated art salon.
Within the German-speaking region, paper positions berlin is the only art fair where galleries showcase a wide spectrum of high-quality works from contemporary and modern art, as well as the 19th century — offering collectors and visitors a focused and in-depth insight into this unique artistic medium. → more
